Sharp 5K footage
The SONY 386 sensor really shows on bright outdoor shots. My trail clips look far more detailed than what my old camera managed.
Dual screens are genuinely handy
The 1.3-inch screen makes selfie framing so much easier, and switching with a long press of the Down button is quick once you know it.
The wireless mic made a difference
Filming while riding, the audio from the wireless microphone was much cleaner than the built-in mic on my previous action cam.
Wide 170° view
You really do get the whole scene in frame. On descents the wide angle captures the trail and the surroundings at the same time.
App connection is simple
Connecting the Sup cam PRO app over Wi-Fi took a minute, and after that previewing and pulling clips onto my phone was easy.
Enough battery for a ride
I get through a full ride on one charge and plug it into a power bank afterwards. 60 to 90 minutes is what I expected at this size.

Remote control works well
Mounting the camera on my helmet and starting recording from the remote is exactly the setup I wanted.
Took it snorkelling
Underwater footage came out clear and the wide lens captured a lot of the reef in a single shot.
Touch screen responds nicely
The 2.0-inch touch screen is bright and reacts quickly. Changing modes mid-ride is not a fiddly process.
Great value at $50.99
For the price, a SONY 386 sensor, dual screens and wireless mic support is a lot of camera.
HDMI output is useful
Plugging straight into the TV over HDMI to show the family our holiday clips was a nice bonus.
Compact and light
It barely adds any weight on the handlebars and the body feels solid for something this small.
Menu in my own language
Having the menu in my language made the first setup much faster than guessing through an English-only interface.
Loop recording for the car
I use loop video as a dash cam on my commute and it just keeps overwriting, which is exactly what I needed.
128GB is the limit
Works well with my card, but 128GB is the maximum, so plan around that if you record long sessions.
Battery is average
60 to 90 minutes is fine for a session but I carry a second charge for longer days out.
Remember a memory card
The camera does everything I wanted, but a Micro SD card is required and is not in the box.
App can be a little slow
The Wi-Fi app works and does what it says, though transferring a long clip takes a bit of patience.
Not image stabilised
Footage gets shaky if you are running with it. Mounted on a bike or a helmet it looks much better.
Low light could be better
In daylight it is great. After sunset the picture gets noisy, so I mostly shoot this camera during the day.
